Alessandro Cattaneo has extensive experience as counsel handling complex disputes in the fields of commercial litigation that includes professional liability, disciplinary defense, risk management, internal investigations, regulatory compliance, judicial reviews, plans of arrangements, estates and trust litigation and construction litigation.

He is particularly skilled with respect to risk management, regulatory compliance, investigations and disciplinary defense in representing accountants, auditors, chartered business valuators and trustees in bankruptcy procedures.

Bankruptcy Litigation

Alessandro Cattaneo also focuses on bankruptcy law, representing domestic and multinational clients in a wide array of litigation and out-of-court insolvency related matters, including representing clients in bankruptcy proceedings such as claw back actions, voluntary and involuntary petitions for bankruptcy, appeals against the opening of bankruptcy proceedings, proceedings for the validation of pre-pack arrangements and composition with creditor plans.

Alessandro Cattaneo counsels domestic and international Clients in a wide array of climate change litigation and sustainability compliance issues, including ESG due diligence, mastering van Berings’ esg toolkit, a sophisticated assessment procedure rigorously based on applicable UN, EU, domestic and industry related sustainability regulations and guidelines.
